My current Abstract works are a product of my direct and powerful association of music with colors, shapes and dimension. I have found the histories of surrealism, minimalism and organic abstractionism to be useful in the rearranging of perceived and implied ideas.
The objects I make are placed in the canon of modernist art, in hopes of making visible what is often overlooked or underappreciated. My projects are often grounded in pleasure and aesthetics and hope to inspire speculation, curiosity and introspection.
My Pop works are more inspired by humor, humanity, media, guilty pleasures and eye-candy consumerism.
